Operations

On this page, I am slowly going to start populating it with my operations info. Things like the track diagram, Car card templates, Weigh-bill templates, train operating instructions and the like.

Flat schematic.

To begin with, below is the track plan with control points. This design is modelled after Mark Lestico's "UP Cascade Subdivision". I found the design fantastic in that it made me think about blocks and where signalling will eventually go. For instance, each control point will eventually require signalling. Also, on the real layout, each CP allows literally one train in and thus acts as a control block. By looking at CP13E and CP2E, two trains can fit in here if blocked and controlled properly.

I had a dilemma about what exactly the CP would mean. I settled on CP = Control point, 30 being the distance from Whitefish and E or W being either East or West.
