For those that are wondering what is "BNSF modeling in N Scale", read on...
This is all about modeling a model railroad in a 1/160 scale which is known as "N" scale. As for the BNSF? Well this is a prototype railroad that I model. BNSF stands for "Burlington Northern Santa Fe".
When I first started modeling a prototype back in 1995, I zeroed in on the then Burlington Northern (BN). I just enjoyed the livery of the green with the white numbers and noses. However, I also so enjoyed the Santa Fe warbonnets. When these two railroads merged in real life, a match was made in heaven for me. I was now able to continue modeling the BN, but also purchase SF locos and rolling stock. And, a run off of this was I could also buy BNSF painted items.
This is all run on a layout I have at home. One day I will have operating sessions with like minded friends although at the moment, I have operating sessions with just myself.
So there you have it.
Till next time, keep well.

Why this Blog
I have documented the progress on my layout via my web site at www.glynsay.co.za. However it is an HTML based web site and such a pain to maintain and update.
While looking at other model railroad sites on the web, I found a number of the people were using blogger and that they could be quite sophisticated and easy to update.
So my foray into Blogger. I am going to keep my web site, but will no longer update it. I will copy the content from my web site to here and will put my efforts into maintaining and updating this blog. So, hopefully you will have a look around and enjoy what is here.
